Frequently Asked Questions

Helpful answers to common questions about health and wellness coaching.

Who can benefit from health and wellness coaching?

If you’ve ever struggled with achieving your health and wellness goals on your own, this is for you. Many people find it difficult to fit healthy habits into their busy lifestyle, while others are unsure where to start. Health and wellness coaching guides you to building lifelong healthy habits with desirable results, unlike fad diets. Plus, you’ll have a health coach there to help you overcome obstacles along the way.

Is coaching like a bootcamp? I’m not ready for that!

You’re in luck because health coaching is nothing like boot camp! I’ll be your encouraging accountability partner, not a demanding drill instructor. My goal is to create a plan for you that you’re enthusiastic about because that’s what gets results. Together, we’ll come up with a strategy that considers your current lifestyle, personal preferences, culture, and more.

Is a health and wellness coach a therapist?

No. A health and wellness coach focuses on thriving, and a therapist focuses on coping. Your health and wellness coach will work with you to create outcome-driven strategies that’ll propel you towards a better future. As your coach, I aim to support your self-directed personal and professional growth with actionable plans, accountability, and follow-up.

Are coaching sessions private?

Yes. The information we exchange during coaching sessions remains completely confidential. Unless you permit me to share your information or the law requires it, I agree to maintain your information in a manner that promotes confidentiality, privacy, and security.

Where did you receive your training?

I received my Master’s in Clinical Nutrition from New York University. Later, I became a certified health and wellness and lifestyle medicine coach through Wellcoaches School of Coaching, a coaching school accredited by the American College of Sports Medicine. It is the first coaching school for health and wellness professionals and promotes a science-based, high-impact approach to coaching.

How do you work with clients, and how long does a coaching program take?

Successful coaching happens when we are able to work together to develop goals that are achievable but still take you outside of your comfort zone. In addition to goals, we also create a customized action plan to empower healthy decision-making. Good coaching is not a quick fix. It may take up to 12 weeks of dedicated work to make lasting changes. For more information, visit My Services page.

What does coaching cost?

My coaching prices are based on the services that you’ll need to transform your habits and empower your future self, and will also depend on how long you are using my services. I offer one-time consultations, as well as ongoing retainer relationships. During our initial, complimentary 30-minute discovery call, we’ll discuss your needs and desired outcomes, and I’ll provide a detailed price package for all my coaching services.
